Ukraine is the only country in the world that defends itself against ballistic missiles. That is why the country needs more Patriot air defence systems, said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
Prior to that, he met with his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Albares and thanked him personally for Spain's reliable support.
"I have conveyed to you the urgency of providing Ukraine with additional Petriots and other air defence systems capable of intercepting ballistic missiles," said Kuleba.
The two sides also discussed the importance of collective efforts to strengthen Ukraine's defence to ensure peace in Europe.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister also met with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski. They discussed how Poland can help protect Ukraine's airspace from Russian missiles and how to protect Polish airspace from their intrusions.
"Today, Ukraine is the only country in the world that defends itself against ballistic missile attacks almost every day," Kuleba said.
He explained that all the Petriot batteries available in the world that can be provided to Ukraine should be delivered to Ukraine as soon as possible. The Minister added that there is no more important place for them.
The day before, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine needs Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems and other air defence systems. After all, they are designed to protect life.
