German Corvette Scares Londoners with Imperial March from Star Wars
A Braunschweig-class corvette of the German Navy arrived in London to the sound of the ‘Imperial March’, which accompanies the scenes with the main villain Darth Vader in the Star Wars film.
This was reported by the BBC.
The BBC has published footage of the Brunswick corvette being towed in reverse across the Thames near Tower Bridge. Sailors can be seen on deck and the Imperial March from the Star Wars soundtrack can be heard.
‘London is in panic,’ the commentary to the video reads.
The ship arrived in the city for training purposes and to replenish supplies.
A German Navy spokesman explained to reporters that the choice of music was up to the captain and had ‘no deeper meaning’.
