Hollywood Star Keanu Reeves Returns to Racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, 60, known for his roles in films such as The Matrix and John Wick, took part in the GR Cup sports car field race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend. This is his first appearance in the race since 2014.
Among 33 drivers, Keanu Reeves finished in 25th place in Saturday's Race 1 and took 24th place in Sunday's Race 2.
During Saturday's race, Reeves crashed to the grass just over halfway through the 45-minute race, but he avoided a collision and was uninjured. He then rejoined the race.
His teammate during Saturday's event was ‘The Perfect Dude’ star Cody Jones. In 2009, the 'Speed' star took part in the Long Beach Toyota Grand Prix celebrity race and won it.
‘Speed, in which he co-stars with Sandra Bullock, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special screening on Tuesday in Los Angeles, which both Bullock and Reeves are expected to attend.
