Legendary Oasis Reunited to Give First Concerts in 15 Years
After a 15-year gap, Oasis co-founders, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, have decided to leave past quarrels behind and reunite.
It is reported by Variety.
On Tuesday, the brothers announced that they will play 14 concerts in the summer of 2025, including four at Wembley Stadium in London and four at Heaton Park in Manchester.
Other venues include Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin.
Tickets will go on sale on 31 August via Ticketmaster, GigsAndTours.com and SeeTickets.com.
‘There was no great revelation that sparked the idea of a reunion, just a gradual realisation that the time was right,’ the band said in a press release.
‘Time must have affected us subconsciously. This Thursday marks the 30th anniversary of the release of our incendiary debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’, and in 2025, this anniversary will be marked by the equally important second album ‘(What's the Story) Morning Glory?’ - the press service adds.
According to the press release, the band plans to tour outside of Europe next year.
Brother Gallagher, for his part, added: ‘The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The big wait is over. Come and see it. This will not be shown on television.’
Oasis existed from 1991 to 2009.
