Macron to Host Zelenskyy in Paris Ahead of Security Talks

French President Emmanuel Macron will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Paris on Wednesday evening, September 3, ahead of a high-level gathering of the “Coalition of the Willing” scheduled for the following day.
The Gaze reports this, referring to European Pravda.
An Élysée Palace official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that the bilateral talks would precede Thursday’s broader session with allied leaders. The coalition meeting is being convened at Kyiv’s initiative.
“The purpose is to send a clear message that those states ready and able to provide Ukraine with security guarantees have finalized the technical work carried out by chiefs of staff and defense ministers,” the official said. “We are now prepared to deliver those guarantees.”
The source added that partners also aim to coordinate pressure on Russia, with the ultimate goal of securing a ceasefire.
The September 4 session will take place in Paris in a hybrid format under the joint chairmanship of Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. According to reports, Zelenskyy is also expected to take part.
The talks will build on agreements reached last month in Washington between U.S. President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and European leaders.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, for his part, has urged the coalition to begin concrete planning for a potential peacekeeping mission to Ukraine.
As The Gaze reported earlier, US President Donald Trump is discussing with European partners the possibility of involving private military contractors in Ukraine after a peace agreement is reached.
