Netherlands Provides Ukraine with New €400m Maritime Security Aid Package

The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with a large package of military aid in the field of maritime security, including ships, boats and maritime drones, worth a total of €400 million, the country's Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced before the start of the Ramstein Format Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting in Brussels on 4 June.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to European Pravda.
The Netherlands has announced a new €400 million military aid package for Ukraine, which will include ships, boats and maritime drones.
‘At today's Contact Group meeting, I am announcing a new support package (for Ukraine) worth €400 million in the field of maritime security. It will include more than 100 ships, patrol boats, transport boats, interceptors and special operations ships. That is, a wide range of more than 100 vessels,‘ Brekelmans said.
According to him, the package also includes more than 50 maritime drones, as well as weapon systems, sensors, spare parts and training for Ukrainian specialists.
’This is a complete package to strengthen Ukraine's maritime security. This is very important because we see that Russian threats, both in the Black Sea and around Kherson, are growing. It is very important for Ukraine to protect itself from this,’ said the Dutch Minister of Defence.
He added that the Netherlands wants to support Ukraine in matters of freedom of navigation and the preservation of maritime trade routes.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the last batch of Dutch F-16 fighter jets designated for Ukraine has officially left the Netherlands, marking a significant milestone in the country's defence support to Kyiv.
It is also known that Romania and the Netherlands will create a joint centre for training Ukrainian F-16 technical personnel.
