Zelenskyy Holds First Official Talk with Poland’s Newly Elected President Nawrocki

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held his first official conversation with newly elected Polish President Karol Nawrocki, marking an important step in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

The President of Ukraine congratulated Nawrocki on his victory in the June 1 elections, wished him success, and expressed hope for continued strong cooperation between Ukraine and Poland.
“We expect Poland to remain our reliable partner and ally,” Zelenskyy wrote.
The Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine expressed his gratitude to Poland for its constant support for Ukraine since the first days of the full-scale invasion, emphasizing that this assistance covers not only the military aspect, but also political solidarity and humanitarian support.
He also informed the newly elected Polish president about the consequences of this shelling and the situation on the front line.
During his conversation with Nawrocki, Zelenskyy highlighted the importance of Polish assistance to Ukraine. “It is very important for us that Poland continues to help Ukraine. After all, we are defending not only ourselves, but also all of Europe, including Poland,” said the Ukrainian leader.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that key events to take place in the coming months were discussed. Moreover, he underlined the agreement on mutual visits to discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
