Over 300 Illegal Men from Africa, Syria and Iran Tried to Break the Polish Border From Belarus
Over the past two days, 310 people have tried to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border. Most of them were illegal male migrants from Africa, Syria and Iran. This was reported by the Border Guard today on the X platform (Twitter). Two Polish border guards were injured and hospitalised as a result of the aggressive behaviour of the illegal immigrants.
‘In the Podlaskie section of the Polish-Belarusian border, 307 people tried to illegally cross the border, and the rest tried to illegally cross the border in the section guarded by the Bug River border guard detachment. In the Podlaskie Voivodeship, such attempts took place in the area of Białowieża, Narewka, Dubice Cerkiewne, Michalów and Czeremcha,’ said Senior Warrant Officer Michał Bura in a statement.
On Wednesday, there were 152 attempts, on Thursday - 155.
Data from the Podlaskie Border Guard indicate that since the beginning of May, there have been more than 6,000 such attempts to illegally cross the border, and in April - more than 5,300 attempts.
With the help of the Russian and Belarusian authorities, hundreds of illegal immigrants are getting to Poland and posting videos of how they did it on social media, Belsat TV channel reports. The sending of migrants to the Polish border and their transfer from the Belarusian side to Poland is carried out using proven methods. The existence of an organised practice is confirmed by a network of chats and groups created to exchange information; organisers of illegal migration provide prices and offers there and inform about the situation at the border, Belsat notes.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg directly pointed to Moscow's involvement in the growing number of asylum seekers at the Finnish border during a media briefing. Stoltenberg noted that Russia has ‘brought war to Europe’ and is now trying to destabilise Western democracies through cyberattacks, disinformation, energy coercion and migration.
