Poland to Receive 72 HOMAR-K Rocket Launchers From South Korea
Poland will receive 72 Homar-K multiple launch rocket systems from South Korea under a contract signed in April, the Polish Ministry of National Defence reports in Social Media X.
Poland has signed a contract for the supply of 72 HOMAR-K launchers, 60 of which will be assembled in Poland. Deliveries will take place in 2026 and 2029.
The agreement envisages both the transfer of the systems themselves and the provision of production technologies, production line equipment and production licences to Poland.
‘We are increasing the defence potential of our country in terms of missile forces,’ commented Pawel Bejda, State Secretary of the Ministry.
According to him, another contract for the supply of technology for the production of CGR-080 missiles, which are used in South Korean MLRS, will soon be signed and will be produced in Poland.
In October, Poland signed an agreement with South Korea that provides for the production of 239 mm CGR-080 missiles for HOMAR-K multiple launch rocket systems on Polish territory.
It was also reported that Poland had sent the first K2 tanks manufactured by the South Korean company Hyundai Rotem to the 9th Armoured Cavalry Brigade, which is stationed in Braniewo, a few kilometres from the Kaliningrad region of Russia.
