Romania Conducts Large-Scale Operation Against Drug Traffickers, Detains Almost 30 Suspects

Almost 30 arrests have been made in Romania following a large-scale operation against suspected drug dealers selling drugs to students and pupils, Digi24 reports.
On Wednesday, investigators reported that a total of 29 people were detained as a result of Operation School, 28 of whom were arrested. The suspects are aged 16 to 61 years old.
Two 15-year-olds are also under suspicion, and they will undergo a forensic psychiatric examination to determine whether they acted consciously.
Earlier on Monday, prosecutors and police conducted more than 50 searches across the country and seized drugs, weighing equipment and large sums of money.
The operation targeted a network believed to have focused on selling drugs to students and pupils.
At the beginning of the month, more than 100 raids were carried out in Romania on suspicion of illegal arms trafficking.
