Russia Rules Out Zelenskyy-Putin Meeting Soon

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has ruled out the possibility of a meeting between the leaders of Russia, Ukraine and the United States in the near future.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the Russian agency Interfax.
Peskov commented on the White House statement about US President Donald Trump's openness to such a format of negotiations.
‘Frankly speaking, it is unlikely in the near future. Because President Putin has repeatedly emphasised his readiness for contacts at the highest level, while stressing that these contacts should be the result of agreements that will already be worked out at the technical and expert levels,’ Peskov said.
White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt confirmed that US President Donald Trump does not rule out participating in a potential meeting between the leaders of Ukraine and Russia to end the aggression unleashed by the Russian Federation.
The Turkish side hopes to organise a meeting between US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin in Istanbul or Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday.
As The Gaze reported earlier, on 2 June, during the talks of delegations from Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul, Ukraine proposed a meeting between the leaders between 20 and 30 June.
