Russia Targets Civilians & Energy in Coordinated Overnight Barrage
Russia carried out a wave of overnight drone and missile strikes across Ukraine, targeting major cities and energy infrastructure.
The attacks left at least one person dead, over a dozen injured, and caused widespread power outages and transportation disruptions.
The Gaze reports this, referring to regional authorities.
In the city of Dnipro, a Russian strike on a residential building killed a woman and injured at least 11 people, including a 13-year-old girl, said Vladyslav Haivanenko, acting head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration. Six of the injured were hospitalized in moderate condition.
The impact caused massive damage to a multi-story apartment block, destroying flats between the second and sixth floors in two entrances. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, but city infrastructure sustained additional damage.
In Kyiv, emergency crews extinguished several fires following another Russian drone assault. In the Pechersk district, four light trucks burned, and nearby buildings were damaged. A second fire caused by falling drone debris was contained before rescue teams arrived, the State Emergency Service reported.

In the Poltava region, according to regional governor Volodymyr Kohut, Russian missiles struck energy facilities overnight, leaving the Kremenchuk community without electricity, water, and partially without heating.
Emergency shutdowns have been introduced across the region. Public transport in Kremenchuk has been suspended, with buses replacing electric vehicles on city routes. “One person was injured and is receiving medical care,” Kohut added, noting that all emergency services are working to restore utilities.
The attacks caused widespread transport delays as Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine’s national railway operator, reported severe damage to power lines and contact networks in the Poltava region. Multiple long-distance and suburban trains are running hours behind schedule, with some routes being operated by diesel locomotives.
The latest wave of strikes represents a deliberate escalation in Russia’s relentless campaign to terrorize Ukraine’s civilian population and cripple its energy infrastructure as winter sets in. Similar large-scale attacks have targeted infrastructure in recent weeks, aiming to disrupt heating, electricity, and transport ahead of the cold season.
As The Gaze previously informed, October 2025 was a record month for Ukraine in terms of the number of Russian missile attacks as Russia launched 270 missiles, the highest number since early 2023.
