Spain Considers Producing Military Equipment in Ukraine

The Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine and representatives of the Spanish company Escribano Mechanical and Engineering (EM&M) discussed the localisation of machinery production in Ukraine.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the Ministry.
‘I was pleased to hear about the interest of EM&M representatives in doing business in Ukraine and understanding the prospects for cooperation with the Ukrainian defence enterprise.
Such cooperation will significantly improve the Ukrainian military equipment, which will be a significant boost for our combat units,’ said Herman Smetanin, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
The ministry said that Guardian 30 remotely controlled tower modules (RCTMs) manufactured by EM&M are already being supplied to Ukraine.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities and conditions for localising the maintenance and production of RCMs at Ukrainian enterprises.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the Spanish defence company Tecnove has signed an agreement with Ukraine's Practika Research and Production Association to launch the production of armoured vehicles at the manufacturing site in the town of Herencia, La Mancha (Ciudad Real).
