Star Clipmaker Tanu Muino Directs Ukraine's Act at Eurovision 2024
Celebrity music video director Tanu Muino has been appointed to direct the stage performance of Ukraine's representatives at Eurovision 2024, alyona alyona and Jerry Heil. The Ukrainian participants of the European Song Contest told Billboard in an interview.
Alyona alyona and Jerry Heil will sing the song "Teresa & Maria" about the strength, courage and resilience of Ukrainian women at the 68th pan-European contest to be held on 11 May in Malmö, Sweden.
The artists note that this collaboration once again emphasises the idea of the song with which the singers will represent Ukraine at the Malmö competition - "unity of people, unity of women, virgins".
The musicians add that at the beginning they discussed with Tanu Muino "everything that hurts and resonates with us in our song". A few days later, the director presented her own vision, which impressed the artists.
Jerry Heil and alyona alyona say they are grateful to fate for the opportunity to team up with Tanu Muino and add that they share a common goal - to represent their country in the best possible way.
"We realised that this is how we want to speak to the world through our number! Unity, steel strength of virgins, faith and will! Music does unite the world, we are sure! And we know that this production will unite hearts around the world in the pursuit of the victory of light over darkness!" the Ukrainian artists add.
Tanu Muino is a Ukrainian director, designer and photographer from Odesa. She has shot music videos for Post Malone and The Weeknd, Cardi B, Katy Perry, Rosalia, Dua Lipa and others. The video for Foals was shot in Kyiv.
Among her latest works is a completely explicit video for Lenny Kravitz for his new song "TK421", where the 59-year-old singer, actor and songwriter dances completely naked.
