Three Countries Hinder the EU's Decision to Reduce Oil Prices from Russia

Three EU states currently resist the introduction of a lower price ceiling for Russian oil, which is proposed as part of a new package of sanctions.
The Gaze reports this with reference to Ukrinform.
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen informed about this before the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
"So far, no consensus has been reached. Without going into details, three countries opposed this step. We are working to find some innovative solutions that will allow us to reduce this price ceiling," Rasmussen stated.
He emphasized the importance of the EU seizing the moment created by yesterday's statements by US President Donald Trump, who threatened to impose so-called secondary sanctions on Russia's trading partners.
“Now is the time to push Putin to the negotiating table,” Rasmussen concluded.
The Gaze previously informed that the EU has begun reviewing the price cap on Russian oil, discussing a possible reduction in the limit and the introduction of an automatic mechanism for its reassessment.
