Three Dead, Dozens Injured in Russian Strike on Ukraine's Sumy City

On Tuesday, Russian troops struck the central part of the city of Sumy in eastern Ukraine. Three people were killed and more than 20 wounded.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the Sumy regional authorities on social media and local media.
The strike was carried out using a long-range multiple launch rocket system.
The strikes damaged a medical facility, cars and houses. In one of the city's districts, a shell hit the road surface. The explosion caused a car to catch fire.
In another neighbourhood, an apartment building was damaged, as well as three private houses, a warehouse, a garage, four cars and one of the hospital buildings.
The Sumy authorities reported five hits in three districts of the city.
It is noted that three people were killed and 25 were injured (three children and three adults are in serious condition).
Acting Sumy Mayor Artem Kobzar announced that 3 and 4 June have been declared days of mourning in the Sumy city community.
As The Gaze reported earlier, just hours after peace talks between Ukrainian and Russian delegations concluded in Istanbul without progress, Russia unleashed a coordinated wave of overnight drone strikes across several Ukrainian cities, killing at least one person and injuring dozens.
