Ukraine and US Fail to Sign Agreement on Mineral Resources

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump failed to sign an agreement on joint mining in Ukraine. This was reported on the social media platform X by senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, as well as by CNN.
Earlier, Trump said he would sign the agreement with Zelenskyy on 28 February. However, on Friday, during a joint press conference between Trump and Zelenskyy, they had a dispute and did not reach a deal. The Ukrainian president left the White House early after the US president's ambiguous and contradictory statements and said that Ukraine would not agree to a ceasefire without clear security guarantees.
As The Gaze previously reported, on 26 February, Zelenskyy said at a press conference that an agreement between Ukraine and the United States on minerals and rare earth metals had been agreed upon and that Ukrainian representatives had been invited to visit the United States.
