Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania Unite in Response to Russian Drone Incursion

Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania have issued a joint declaration condemning Russia’s overnight drone attack that breached Polish airspace on September 10, calling it a deliberate escalation and an unprecedented provocation.
The Gaze reports this, referring to a statement, released on Thursday by Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the framework of the Lublin Triangle cooperation format.
“We, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine, members of the Lublin Triangle, strongly condemn the recent incursion of Russian drones into Polish territory. This was a deliberate and coordinated strike, which constitutes an unprecedented provocation and escalation of tensions,” the statement reads.
According to the foreign ministers, Ukraine is prepared to share all available intelligence and operational data with Poland, Lithuania and other partners to strengthen early-warning systems and improve defenses against Russian missile and drone strikes.
The ministers also underlined the need for closer coordination between national agencies responsible for airspace security.
“These joint efforts must aim to prevent the harmful consequences of Russia’s reckless actions and increase the overall effectiveness of our air defense capabilities,” the declaration said.
The three countries urged international partners to step up support by urgently reinforcing Ukraine’s air defense and assisting Poland and Lithuania in fortifying NATO’s and the EU’s eastern flank.
They warned that only a decisive and proportionate response could deter further escalation.
The ministers also appealed to their own societies to stay alert to Russia’s disinformation campaigns, describing them as part of Moscow’s broader destabilization strategy.
The joint statement characterized the drone incursion into Polish territory as a coordinated strike by Russia, designed to provoke and escalate tensions across the region.
The development comes as the European Parliament debates the incident, while Poland’s Foreign Ministry confirmed that the UN Security Council, where Russia holds a permanent seat, will convene to address the violation of Polish airspace.
As The Gaze previously reported, Poland formally requested extra air defense systems and counter-drone technologies from its allies, citing the urgent need to strengthen protection against escalating Russian aerial threats.
