Ukraine’s National Guard Opens Arms Talks at London Defense Exhibition

A Ukrainian National Guard delegation has launched direct negotiations with leading global defense companies during the DSEI UK 2025 exhibition in London, one of the world’s largest defense and security industry gatherings.
The Gaze reports this, referring to a statement made by National Guard Commander Oleksandr Pivnenko.
According to Pivnenko, the Ukrainian delegation used the exhibition to explore the latest innovations in weapons, military equipment, and security technologies.
He stressed that participation in such international forums is vital for Ukraine as it continues to strengthen its defense capabilities amid Russia’s ongoing war.
“This exhibition provides a unique opportunity to analyze current trends shaping global security and to match Ukraine’s defense needs with the technological solutions offered by partner nations,” Pivnenko noted.
The Ukrainian delegation focused on the stands of key partners, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other European states, reviewing advances in unmanned aerial systems, electronic warfare and reconnaissance tools, personal equipment, armored vehicles, ammunition, and battle management systems.
The talks initiated at the exhibition pave the way for joint projects with top international manufacturers, creating long-term partnerships to boost the National Guard’s operational capacity.
Pivnenko underscored that forging such partnerships is a cornerstone in enhancing Ukraine’s overall defense readiness.
The London exhibition also featured notable innovations such as the Turkish company Aselsan’s newly unveiled KORKUT 100/25 SB anti-drone system, designed to counter mini- and micro-UAV threats.
As The Gaze previously reported, the UK announced plans to manufacture thousands of advanced interceptor drones for Ukraine each month as part of a landmark defense technology-sharing agreement with Kyiv.
