Ukrainian Esports Team Na'Vi Triumphs in Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024 Grand Final
Ukrainian esports team Natus Vincere (Na'Vi) has won the grand final of the Intel Extreme Masters Rio-2024. The team defeated the German team Mouz in the Counter-Strike 2 competition, according to the team's official website. Ukrainian esports players received $100 thousand in prize money for the victory.
A total of 16 teams competed for a prize pool of $250 thousand and a ticket to IEM-2025 in Katowice, Poland, from 7 to 13 October.
The match was held in the Vo5 format and ended with a score of 3:1. Na'Vi lost in the first half of the game, but after changing sides, the Ukrainian team not only recovered but also won.
This is the team's sixth consecutive final and fourth trophy this year. The previous victory came at the ESL Pro League Season 20 Counter-Strike 2 tournaments in September 2024. And in March, Na'Vi climbed to second place in the world rankings in Counter-Strike 2 after winning the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, the first major CS2 tournament in the team's history.
