Ukrainians Win 11 Medals at World Sambo Cup

11 medals and second place in the team competition - this is the achievement of the Ukrainian national sambo team at the World Cup.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
The competition took place in the Armenian capital Yerevan. The Ukrainian team won 4 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
Gold medals were won by Valentina Arutyunova (combat section, weight category up to 72 kg), Snizhana Plish (sports section, up to 54 kg), Anastasia Shevchenko (sports section, up to 65 kg), and Petro Davydenko (combat section, up to 88 kg).
Silver medals went to Angelina Lysenko (combat section, up to 72 kg) and Vasyl Ivonyak (combat section, up to 79 kg).
The winners of Ukrainian bronze medals are Roman Trush (sports section, up to 71 kg), Oleksiy Moiseev (sports section, over 98 kg), Sofia Bordynskikh (sports section, up to 59 kg), Diana Tulunzh (sports section, up to 65 kg) and Yevgen Makarov (combat section, up to 98 kg).
As The Gaze reported earlier, in April, the men's and women's sambo teams of Ukraine successfully competed at the European Championships in Limassol, Cyprus. In the sport and combat sections, Ukrainian athletes won three gold medals, four silver and three bronze medals over two days of competition.
