Ukrainian President Makes Unannounced Visit to Saudi Arabia

On Wednesday, June 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made an unannounced visit to Saudi Arabia. During the visit, he met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud, as reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed bilateral relations, noted progress in implementing previous agreements, and the productive cooperation of government teams. President Zelensky also expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia's support and the country’s efforts to help restore peace.
"A substantial and dynamic meeting with His Highness Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud. We discussed the bilateral relations between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia, noted the good progress in implementing our previous agreements, and the effective cooperation of our teams. We will continue this," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The leaders gave special attention to preparations for the Global Peace Summit. They discussed the expected outcomes, their implementation, and the advancement of a just peace for Ukraine.
"We exchanged views on the international situation and its development prospects. Ukraine is grateful to Saudi Arabia for its support. We value His Highness's efforts to assist in the swift restoration of peace," stated Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
It should be noted that this is the second visit of the Ukrainian President to Saudi Arabia this year. The first visit took place in February. At that time, according to The Gaze, Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and prospects for cooperation in economic and technological fields with Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.
