Ukrainian Troops to Take Part in Victory Day March in UK

On 5 May, the Ukrainian soldiers will take part in a military parade in London, United Kingdom, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory Day.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Sky News.
The British Ministry of Defence has announced that the Ukrainians will join around 1,000 British troops marching in central London.
This will symbolise global support for Ukraine in its ‘ongoing fight for freedom against Russia's unprovoked, illegal aggression’, according to the British defence ministry.
Representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who will take part in the march are servicemen deployed in the UK as part of Operation Interflex, a training programme for Ukrainian recruits run by the UK in conjunction with 12 partner countries.
Since the launch of the Interflex programme in the summer of 2022, the UK and its partners have trained more than 54,000 Ukrainians to fight on the front line.
Victory Day in Europe is celebrated annually on 8 May to mark the official acceptance of the Allied surrender of Germany in 1945.
As The Gaze reported earlier, US President Donald Trump has announced that from now on, 8 May will be World War II Victory Day in America.
