Zelenskyy Appoints New Envoy for Ukraine-US Cooperation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree appointing Olga Stefanishyna as the head of state's special representative for the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Zelenskyy's post on social network X.
‘I have signed a decree appointing Olga Stefanishyna as Special Representative of the President of Ukraine for the Development of Cooperation with the United States of America,’ he wrote.
According to Zelenskyy, in this capacity, Stefanishyna will work to maintain momentum in relations with America while all the necessary procedures for Washington's approval of her candidacy for the post of Ukrainian ambassador to the United States are ongoing.
‘I am grateful to Olga for her work on European and Euro-Atlantic integration. It has been successful work. Much has been achieved. In a few years, we have come closer to the European Union than in the previous decades,’ Zelenskyy wrote.
He mentioned that Stefanishyna also participated in negotiations with the United States on a new format for our economic cooperation and the creation of a Ukrainian-American investment fund for reconstruction.
‘We will continue to work with America on this basis, adding mutually beneficial economic content to our political and diplomatic interaction,’ he wrote.
Earlier, Olga Stefanishyna, who served as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice, confirmed that she was leaving the government.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the Ukrainian parliament has approved the appointment of 13 new ministers to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Among others, Taras Kachka became Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. He has extensive experience in European integration, having led negotiations on the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement, but focused primarily on trade issues.
