Deal with Croatia and Meetings with UK, French, Italian, and German Leaders – Zelenskyy Embarks on a Brief EU Tour
The day before, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenkovic. The topics of the talks included defence assistance and cooperation, humanitarian demining, rehabilitation of Ukrainian children and wounded soldiers, Ukraine's reconstruction and European integration. The parties signed an agreement on long-term support and cooperation between the two countries. Croatia will continue to provide equipment and share its expertise in humanitarian demining. Ukraine, in turn, also hopes to develop cooperation between the defence industry.
‘I thank Croatia for every manifestation of support for our state and people, for being with Ukraine since the beginning of Russian aggression in 2014,’ Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Over the next day, the President of Ukraine will also meet with the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Germany. He said this during a press conference following the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit in Dubrovnik (Croatia), Ukrinform reports.
‘During the day, I will meet separately in each country with the leaders of Britain, France, Italy, and Germany. I will try to do this quickly, and then at Ramstein I will present the Victory Plan to all our partners,’ Zelenskyy said.
The President noted that although the meeting of the Contact Group in the Ramstein format, which was to take place on 12 October, had been postponed, he hoped that a new date would be set quickly.
During the meeting, Zelenskyy plans to present the Victory Plan to his partners.
‘The Victory Plan will be presented there in detail, just as it was presented in the White House. It is only fair that our partners hear it from us,’ the President of Ukraine said.
