China Denies Sending Troops to Fight in Ukraine

China has reacted to reports that two Chinese soldiers have been captured in the war in Ukraine. Beijing has rejected as ‘absolutely groundless’ Kyiv's claims that many Chinese citizens are fighting on the side of Russian forces in Ukraine.
The Gaze reports it with reference to France24.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that China has always called on its citizens to refrain from participating in any form of armed conflict.
He added that ‘the Chinese side is verifying relevant information with the Ukrainian side’.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman also stressed that ‘Kyiv should be cautious about China's constructive role in achieving peace in Ukraine’.
As The Gaze reported, quoting the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian forces captured two Chinese soldiers who fought as part of the Russian army during the battle in Donetsk region.
