Eurovision Stars Ziferblat Survive Drone Strike in Dnipro
The band Ziferblat, which represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2025 came under fire in Dnipro while returning from a concert in Zaporizhzhia.

On November 17, Ukrainian musicians finished a closed concert in Zaporizhzhia and were returning home by train. During a stop in Dnipro, a Russian drone attacked near their train. The shelling damaged a window in one of the carriages, but the band members themselves were not injured.
“When we made a stop in Dnipro, there was a Russian drone attack close to our train,” the band wrote on Instagram.
Along with the message, they posted a photo of the damaged window caused by the Russian drone explosion.
Ziferblat is a Ukrainian music band that gained international attention after participating in Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. The band is known for combining modern pop rock with electronic elements and a vibrant stage presence. Their songs often touch on themes of personal experiences, freedom, and hope, which resonate with young audiences in Ukraine and abroad.
Ziferblat gained international popularity after participating in Eurovision 2025, where the band took 9th place in the final, scoring 218 points — 60 from the jury and 158 from viewers.
In addition to their musical achievements, Ziferblat has actively supported Ukraine by raising ₴2 million to purchase two “ZMIY” robotic machines for humanitarian demining, providing crucial aid to communities affected by the conflict.
Ukraine’s 2025 Eurovision entry “Bird of Pray” by alternative rock trio Ziferblat received widespread international attention for its daring musical style and emotional depth.
Media outlets praised the song’s bold arrangement, theatrical performance, and powerful metaphor of a bird symbolizing freedom and survival, linking it to Ukraine’s wartime reality. The entry also gained emotional weight when backing vocalist Khrystyna Starykova shared that she lost her home due to Russian shelling during rehearsals, highlighting the real-life context behind the performance.
