Georgia has reduced the period of visa-free stay for Ukrainian citizens from three years to one year. The relevant changes were made to the government's resolution, Newsgeorgia reports.

‘Citizens of Ukraine have the right to enter Georgia without a visa and stay in the country for one full year,’ the document signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze states.

Ukrainians who entered Georgia before 24 February 2025 will be allowed to stay in the country until 24 February 2026.

Earlier, in February 2023, the Georgian authorities established a two-year visa-free stay for Ukrainian citizens, and in April 2024 extended it to three years.
