Moldova to Receive Over €760 Million from the EU for Social Projects and Job Creation

The European Union will provide Moldova with €762 million to implement projects aimed at employment and social innovation, ZDG reports.
Earlier, the parliament ratified the Agreement with the EU on the participation of the Republic of Moldova in the employment and social innovation component of the European Plus fund. The document was voted for in two readings by 69 MPs.
The Employment and Social Innovation project of the European Plus Facility, in which the Republic of Moldova participates, aims to create as many jobs as possible, guarantee social protection, combat social exclusion and poverty, and improve working conditions.
The planned budget for this project is €762 million. The implementation period is 2021-2027. Accordingly, legal entities in Moldova will be able to submit projects for funding, which will be approved in direct negotiations with the European Commission.
The European Social Fund Plus is the EU's instrument for investing in human capital and has a total budget of EUR 99.3 billion for the period 2021-2027. The Republic of Moldova also participates in other European funding instruments, such as Customs, FISCALIS, LIFE.
