NATO Allies Launch Military Operation to Strengthen Air Defence in Poland

On 1 August, Poland, together with its NATO allies, will launch another military operation aimed at strengthening airspace protection in the eastern regions of the country.
This is reported by RMF24.
Operation Eastern Dawn will cover the eastern and northeastern regions of the country.
It will run in parallel with the previously announced Operation Safe Podlasie and is a response to the threats posed by Russia's war against Ukraine, in particular the risks of violating Poland's airspace.
The operation involves constant monitoring of the airspace, responding to detected violations, training and coordination with allies.
General Maciej Klisz noted that the operation aims to consolidate the efforts of all forces involved in defending the skies, and it will take into account not only national air defence capabilities, but also the activities of other NATO Allies in the region and NATO-level measures.
According to him, the operation will also involve the forces of allies, including the UK and the US.
Poland sends its aircraft into the sky during every massive Russian attack on Ukrainian cities when missiles reach the western regions.
Poland has also significantly increased the number of troops on the border with Belarus due to the Lukashenko regime's attempts to put pressure on the country with the help of migrants.
