Ukraine Will Receive Weapons for $5 billion Through PURL by the End of 2025
NATO Deputy Secretary General stated.
The Gaze reports on it according to Ukrinform.
By the end of the year, Ukraine will receive military equipment worth approximately $5 billion from US warehouses through the PURL rapid assistance mechanism. This includes air defence systems, ammunition, and critical spare parts.
According to Ukrinform, NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska announced this in an interview with Suspilne.
Shekerinska emphasised that PURL meets Ukraine's most urgent needs.
‘The lion's share of air defence equipment comes to Ukraine through PURL — it is literally the difference between life and death,’ Shekerinska said.
According to her, logistics operate around the clock through hubs in Poland and Romania, and the packages are financed by European allies and Canada. Australia and New Zealand have also joined the initiative.
Shekerinska added that despite significant deliveries, Ukraine ‘always needs more air defence,’ and the defence industry of NATO countries is increasing production to cover this deficit.
As the Gaze reported earlier Ukraine Needs $15 Bln Annually to Sustain NATO’s PURL Initiative – Zelenskyy.
