Under the motto 'Strong White and Red,' this year's celebrations of the Polish Armed Forces Day are taking place. From August 12 to 15, military picnics will be organized with the participation of servicemen, and on August 15, a military parade will be held in Warsaw, as announced by the Minister of National Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak.

This will be the largest military parade in 30 years, and the first one after a three-year break. Approximately two thousand military personnel, 200 units of automotive equipment, and 92 aircraft will take part in the parade on the occasion of the Polish Armed Forces Day. In addition to the Polish Armed Forces, military personnel from the United States, Great Britain, Romania, and Croatia will also participate.

"The parade will commence at 2 p.m., with soldiers representing all branches of the Polish Armed Forces. A demonstration of modern equipment will also take place, featuring tanks like 'Abrams,' 'K2,' and 'Borsuk,' along with 'HIMARS' missile systems and 'Patriots.' Additionally, we'll have the 'Baobab' mine clearance vehicles," stated the Minister.

"In terms of the Air Force, helicopters, South Korean FA50 aircraft with white and red chequerboard, as well as joint forces' planes will be presented," added the Minister of Defence.

"What you will see sets the standards of our development, but it will also be a unique event on a global scale. I believe there won't be any other place with such modern equipment and a clear vision of the development of armed forces," said General Wiesław Kukuła, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

The Poles will have the opportunity to express their gratitude to NATO soldiers for defending the border with Belarus. Additionally, all Ukrainians residing in Poland will have the chance to thank NATO for all the equipment provided to Ukraine, particularly the tanks and aircraft presented as a gift to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Polish Armed Forces Day is celebrated on August 15 in honour of the victory of the Polish Armed Forces over the Red Army in 1920, known as the "Miracle on the Vistula." During that historical event, the Polish army defended countries in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Western Europe, from Soviet occupation, including Western Ukraine, saving people from hunger caused by the Soviet occupiers in Eastern Ukraine, where over two million people lost their lives.
