UK to Host Security Talks on Ukraine With “Coalition of the Willing” Next Week

On July 10, The United Kingdom is set to convene a high-level meeting of the “coalition of the willing” – a group of over 30 nations providing long-term security support to Ukraine
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Politico.
The gathering, held alongside a French-British summit, will bring together senior leaders from across Europe.
French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer are expected to lead the discussions from the Northwood Headquarters, NATO’s maritime command center located just outside London.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to join virtually from Rome, where he will be attending an international conference focused on aid to Kyiv.
“On the agenda, there's how to maintain Ukraine in a capacity to fight, how to increase pressure on Russia and how to continue the work on the next steps,” an official said.
Despite its broad membership, the coalition has not met formally since March, amid internal disagreements, particularly regarding the role of the United States and the possibility of deploying multinational forces to Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire.
With U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly disengaged from ceasefire negotiations with Moscow, European allies are taking the initiative to strengthen Ukraine’s defenses and reinforce their commitment.
This week the Pentagon has also halted shipments of key air defense systems to Ukraine due to concerns over the depletion of U.S. stockpiles.
Still, French officials insist the coalition’s focus has not shifted. “From the outset, this has been about meeting Ukraine’s military needs, and that remains the central objective,” the Élysée source said.
As The Gaze reported earlier, on July 4, Zelenskyy held a “very important and useful” conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump, marking America’s Independence Day and discussing urgent defense and peace issues amid intensifying Russian attacks
