Zelenskyy, Stubb Discuss Security, Russia’s Attack on Poland, and EU Sanctions in Kyiv Talks

In Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Finnish President Alexander Stubb discussed the security situation, increasing pressure on Russia, and Ukraine's European integration as the key to its security.
The Gaze reports this, referring to Ukrinform.
“I am glad to welcome Finnish President Alexander Stubb to Ukraine — a friend of our state, a person who does so much to support us, to stop the war, and to reliably guarantee security,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
During the talks, the parties discussed the security situation, in particular Russia's attack on Poland.
“Everything indicates that the launch of Russian drones into Polish territory via Ukraine and Belarus was deliberate and certainly not accidental,” the Ukrainian President said.
He stressed the need for stronger international pressure on Russia and thanked Finland for supporting the EU's sanctions policy, noting that Ukraine is awaiting the adoption of the 19th package of sanctions.
Separately, Zelenskyy noted the importance of cooperation in the field of civil protection.
“We in Ukraine appreciate Finland's participation in initiatives such as the shelter coalition. This is something that helps us not only at the state level, but also at the level of our communities,” he stressed.
The Ukrainian President also reported on active cooperation with the US and the preparation of new formats for interaction.
“Ukraine is in constant contact with the US at various levels,” Zelenskyy said, recalling his recent telephone conversations with US President Donald Trump. “We are also working on a format for a meeting based on the Coalition of the Willing."
Finnish President Alexander Stubb, in turn, said that Ukraine's accession to the European Union would be a key factor in ensuring its security and, at the same time, a symbol of Russia's strategic defeat.
"The strongest guarantee of security and the strongest example of the strategic defeat of Putin's Russia is Ukraine's membership in the EU. In my opinion, this will happen sooner than it seems. If we want Putin to fail, Ukraine must finally become European," Stubb stated during a joint press conference with the Ukrainian President in Kyiv.
