Ukraine Helps Evacuate Citizens of Poland, Czechia, Lithuania, Moldova, and Brazil From Lebanon Along With Ukrainians
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the military intelligence of Ukraine, evacuated 179 people from Lebanon, including 134 Ukrainians.
This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
The evacuation took place on the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Among the evacuated 134 Ukrainians, there are 112 adults and 22 children.
In addition, 45 people of other nationalities were evacuated, including 31 adults and 14 children: 16 Polish citizens, 6 Czech citizens, 9 Lithuanian citizens, 12 Moldovan citizens, 1 Brazilian citizen and 2 Lebanese citizens.
In addition, 3 animals were evacuated: 2 dogs and a cat.
Earlier, on 3-4 September, Ukraine successfully evacuated 55 more of its citizens from Lebanon.
The intelligence service noted that the evacuations were carried out ‘promptly and without complications’, taking into account the existing threats.
