Ukraine Wins 82 Medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris and Secures Fifth Place Overall
At the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, the Ukrainian national team has officially completed its performances and won 82 medals, including 22 gold, 28 silver and 32 bronze, and ranked fifth in the overall team medal tally and seventh in the number of gold medals among 169 participating countries. Almost half of these awards, 40 of them, were won by Ukrainian paratroopers in swimming, the National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine reported.
The Ukrainians finished the last day of competition with three medals, one of which was gold - Vladyslav Yepifanov became the champion in the sculls single sculls (VL3 class).
The last medallist for the Ukrainian team was powerlifter Anton Kryukov, who won silver in the weight class of over 107 kg.

Ukraine won medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games in 11 out of 15 sports in which it delegated athletes, except for archery, badminton, triathlon and shooting.
Ukraine won its first historic medals in goalball (silver) and boccia (bronze), in which it was represented for the first time in history.
At once, 20 athletes finished the Paralympics as multi-medallists.
Andriy Trusov won the most medals - two golds and three silvers.
Two athletes, Maksym Veraksa and Yevhenii Bohodaiko, became the leaders of the Ukrainian national team in terms of the number of medals at the Paralympic Games - 16. The previous record belonged to another swimmer, Maksym Kripak.
Only one Ukrainian athlete finished the Paralympics with gold medals in the events he competed in - Ihor Tsvetov won the 100m and 200m.
Ukraine has ten double podiums at the 2024 Paralympics: seven in swimming, two in athletics and one in table tennis.
For the first time in eight years, Ukraine won gold medals in two sports, judo and cycling. In judo, the result is a repetition of the best ever - Ukrainians won three gold medals only at the London 2012 Games.
