Ukraine Wins European Wushu Championship in Sweden with 79 Medals

The Ukrainian national team won the European Wushu Championships among adults, juniors and young men in the team event.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The 19th European Championships among adults, juniors and youths (Taoloo, Kung Fu, Sanda, Light Sanda) ended the day before in the Swedish capital Stockholm.
A total of 471 athletes from 29 countries competed for the victory.
The Ukrainian team, which consisted of 41 athletes, won the team event, winning 79 medals: 31 gold, 30 silver, and 18 bronze medals.
The 19th European Wushu Championships (19th EWC), organised by the European Wushu Kung Fu Federation (WKFE) and the Swedish Kung Fu and Wushu Federation (SKWF), is the official continental wushu championship. The event took place from 3 to 5 May 2024 in Stockholm, Sweden.
The Ukrainian Wushu Federation became a full member of the European Wushu Federation in the summer of 2022. The Ukrainian Wushu Federation is the first EWUF member to join the EUWUF after its foundation.
As The Gaze previously reported, the Ukrainian national ice hockey team has recently won the 2024 IIHF World Championship for the third time in history. In the last round, Ukraine defeated Lithuania 4-1 to advance to Division 1A.
