Ukrainian Audio Guide Launched at One of the World’s Largest - the Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in the United States of America has launched an audio guide in Ukrainian. President's wife, Olena Zelenska, announced this on social media.
The First Lady stressed that this is important not only for Ukraine and Ukrainians, but also for world culture in general, because ‘the more languages it has, the richer it is.’
According to her, this is already the 89th audio guide in 47 countries, marking an important continuation of the project to introduce the Ukrainian language to the world's leading cultural landmarks.
The wife of the President of Ukraine reminded that Arkhip Kuindzhi, Ivan Aivazovsky, and Ilya Repin are Ukrainian artists, and Degas's famous ‘Russian dancers’ are still ‘Dancers in Ukrainian costumes.’
‘The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the leading art museum in the United States, has long since changed the signatures of artists' works in accordance with historical justice. I had the opportunity to see this personally when I visited the Met last year,’ the President's wife said.
According to her, another step towards cooperation has been taken - the museum's extremely rich collection has received Ukrainian audio accompaniment.
‘Given the initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska to bring art and culture to Ukrainians around the world, we are delighted to be able to share our collection with Ukrainians, which includes both very famous works of art presented at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and those you may not know about,’ the museum staff commented on the event.
