A boxing rematch between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and British Tyson Fury took place in Riyadh last night. The Ukrainian won on points, according to Suspilne Sport.

It was a rematch for the title of unified world heavyweight champion. Usyk defended the WBA, WBO and WBC championship belts after defeating the Briton in the first fight.

In the first round, the boxers mostly waited, and inside, Usyk tried to go on the attack, but Fury repelled it.

At the end of the second round, Usyk received a heavy punch to the head from Fury, but immediately returned to the fight.

At the start of the third round, Usyk also received a heavy punch from Fury. However, closer to the second half of the 3-minute mark, he was able to exchange several punches with the Briton.

For the first time, Usyk gained the upper hand in the fourth round: first, he punched him in the stomach, and then he landed a left to the head. Fury tried to respond with his own jabs towards the end of the 3-minute mark.

Usyk finished half of the fight by landing several serious blows to Fury's head. But the Ukrainian failed to knock the Briton down.

In the ninth round, Fury began to miss Usyk's punches even more often. In particular, he took three punches to the head and one to the stomach.

In the penultimate round, both Usyk and Fury received heavy blows. The Ukrainian landed three punches on the Briton, to which he responded with accurate jabs.

The winner of the fight was determined by the judges' notes. It was the Ukrainian - this time by unanimous decision: 116-112 (all three judges).

According to The Independent, the boxers earned $191 million in fees for the fight, a record amount for athletes, which is $41 million more than in the first fight between Usyk and Fury. Usyk received 55% of the prize money, while the Briton received 45%.
