Ukrainian President to Visit Berlin on Wednesday

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is planning to visit Germany this Wednesday, 28 May.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Spiegel.
According to the report, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz wants to discuss possible steps for further technical negotiations between Ukraine and Russia during a personal meeting with Zelenskyy.
In addition, further military support for Ukraine is likely to be on the agenda.
Merz also intends to inform the Ukrainian president about plans for a new package of EU sanctions against Russia, which aims to increase pressure on Moscow to engage in serious negotiations.
Zelenskyy is also expected to meet with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin.
On Saturday, May 11, the leaders of the "coalition of the willing" met in Kyiv, where they announced plans to sharply increase sanctions against Russia if the ceasefire is not implemented.
At the same time, Merz visited Kyiv. He promised to continue military support for Ukraine, stressing close coordination with European partners and the United States.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Ukraine's four top allies, Germany among them, have lifted restrictions on Kyiv's range of missile strikes on Russian territory.
