Estonia Pledges Support for Ukraine’s Energy Sector, Offers to Host Recovery Conference
Estonia has announced new financial aid for Ukraine’s energy sector and confirmed plans to host the Ukraine Recovery Conference in 2027.
The Gaze reports this, referring to European Pravda.
Speaking at a joint press conference in Kyiv with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on Monday, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said Tallinn would provide an additional €150,000 to help stabilize Ukraine’s energy system and contribute to the Energy Support Fund, as the country braces for another harsh winter under Russian bombardment.
“Temperatures are already dropping, and Russia continues its brutal strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, terrorizing civilians,” Tsahkna said. He noted that Estonia had already contributed around €700,000 in previous energy-related aid packages.

During the visit, Tsahkna and Sybiha also signed a memorandum of understanding outlining Estonia’s readiness to host the Ukraine Recovery Conference in 2027.
“We need to cooperate at the global level to find ways to rebuild Ukraine, unite governments, businesses, NGOs, and donors,” Tsahkna emphasized. “Estonia stands ready to take the lead by organizing the 2027 recovery conference.”
Foreign Minister Sybiha praised Estonia’s continued commitment, noting that the country allocates at least a quarter of a percent of its GDP, and this year as much as 3%, to support Ukraine’s defense and recovery. “This is a powerful example of genuine solidarity and strategic foresight,” Sybiha said.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that Russia’s dwindling economic resources and growing internal strain could be used to push Moscow toward peace negotiations with Ukraine.
