Estonia Ready to Send Military Company to Ukraine

Estonia is ready to send a company of soldiers to the peacekeeping force in Ukraine as part of the Western ‘coalition of the willing,’ Prime Minister Kristen Michal said.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to ERR.
Michal confirmed that Estonia is ready to take part in the deterrence force being formed by the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ led by the UK and France, which is to offer security guarantees to Ukraine.
According to the prime minister, the planning of the Coalition of the Willing has not yet been finalised, but Estonia is ready to contribute by providing a company-sized ground combat unit, military instructors and staff officers.
‘Of course, before sending the unit, we will request a mandate from the parliament,’ Michal added.
The Prime Minister noted that Estonia still believes that the best way to guarantee Ukraine's security is to grant it NATO membership.
‘If NATO membership is delayed, Ukraine must be guaranteed deterrence and protection measures with the help of allied troops deployed on the ground. Ukraine's security is Europe's security. An independent, sovereign Ukraine that belongs to the European family is the best strategic guarantee against Moscow's imperialism for all of us. We have to show that we can back up good thoughts with good deeds,’ Michal said.
According to the report, the composition of the company can vary from 50 to 250 soldiers. The usual size of such a unit is about 150 soldiers.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the United Kingdom is ready and willing to deploy its troops to Ukraine as a security guarantee, if necessary. This was stated by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
