“Gold!” – Incredible Victory for Ukraine’s Para-Cycling Team at the UCI Road World Championships in Switzerland
The Ukrainian para-cycling team won gold at the World Road Cycling Championships in Switzerland. ‘An incredible victory for Ukraine after the 2024 Paralympics!’ said the National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine. Yegor Dementiev became the first in the C5 class in the RR group race on the road.
This is the athlete's second award at this World Championships. The first was a bronze in the individual time trial.

The Para Cycling World Championships are held in conjunction with the Olympic World Championships. Athletes from 49 countries take part in the para competition. Ukraine is represented by 2 athletes.
The World Road Cycling Championships take place in Zurich (Switzerland) from 20 to 30 September 2024.
