After a seven-year hiatus, the rock band Linkin Park will go on tour and release an album recorded with a new line-up.

The band announced the news on 5 September during a performance in Los Angeles, Variety writes.

For the first time since the death of lead singer Chester Bennington, the band has joined singer Emily Armstrong, a co-founder of the rock band Dead Sara.

In addition to the lead singer Emily Armstrong, Linkin Park has a new drummer Colin Brittain.

‘The more we've worked with Emily and Colin, the more we've enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and what we've created,’ said guitarist and vocalist Mike Shinoda during a YouTube stream.

The band will release an album titled From Zero on 15 November. It will feature 11 songs, and the lead single will be The Emptiness Machine - it is already available for listening on all streaming platforms.

The new line-up also includes musicians who have been playing in the band since 1996. They are Mike Shinoda (second vocals, keys, guitar, lyrics), Brad Delson (guitar), Dave Farrell (bass) and Joe Hahn (DJ).

Linkin Park is an American rock band founded in 1996. The band has won two Grammy Awards.

On 20 July 2017, the band's vocalist and frontman Chester Bennington committed suicide in his home. His death came as a surprise to the rest of the band - they had planned to hold a photo shoot that day and go on tour a week later. After Bennington's death, the band took an indefinite break until 2020. Bassist Dave Farrell announced on 28 April 2020 that the band was working on new music.

As The Gaze previously reported, after a 15-year break, Oasis co-founders, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, decided to leave past quarrels behind and reunite.
