Sweden to Send New Military Aid to Ukraine, Including Long-Range Capabilities

The Swedish government has approved a new military aid package for Ukraine worth 1.5 billion SEK (approximately €130 million), aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities amid Russia’s continued aggression, The Gaze reports.
Swedish Defence Minister Pål Jonson announced the decision on X, stating that the support will come from parts of aid packages 18 and 19 and will include “over 10 new Archer artillery barrels, long-range strike and underwater capabilities, as well as more logistical support.”
Among the logistics support, Sweden will also provide military-grade Volvo and Scania trucks, along with a new container system designed to enable faster and safer unloading of defense equipment.
As The Gaze previously reported, Sweden has announced a sweeping revision of its international aid strategy, unlocking an additional 1.67 billion Swedish kronor (approximately €150 million) to support Ukraine and other urgent humanitarian priorities.
Additionally, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) is allocating a new aid package worth 590 million hryvnia to Ukraine under the Tallinn Mechanism, an international initiative that coordinates assistance from 11 partner countries in strengthening cyber resilience.
