Ukraine Discusses Ceasefire and Security Guarantees with Coalition of Willing in Paris

During its visit to France on 17 April, the Ukrainian delegation held its first multilateral meeting with representatives of the ‘coalition of the willing’ at the Elysee Palace.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the Office of the President of Ukraine.
It is reported that the negotiations were attended by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Defence Minister Rustem Umerov and Head of the Presidential Office Andrii Yermak, and representatives of the countries that are members of the ‘coalition of the willing’: Diplomatic Adviser to the President of France Emmanuel Bonne, National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Jonathan Powell and National Security Adviser to the Federal Chancellor of Germany Jens Ploetner.
The parties exchanged views on further steps to bring about a sustainable and lasting peace, including the implementation of a full ceasefire, the deployment of a multinational military contingent to provide security, and the development of an effective security architecture for Ukraine.
As The Gaze reported earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff are set to travel to Paris for high-stakes diplomatic talks, with Ukraine emerging as a central focus amid renewed efforts to secure a ceasefire with Russia.
