Ukraine to Hold US Talks on Legal Framework for Joint Weapons Production

The Ukrainian delegation is heading to the U.S. on September 30 for talks on the legal aspects of joint arms production, including various types of drones.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Interfax-Ukraine.
The upcoming visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the U.S. was announced by Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Olga Stefanishyna.
In addition, she said that during the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump, military cooperation was discussed. The leaders also touched on the possibility of joint production of weapons for other countries.
Stefanishyna noted that Zelenskyy received positive signals from Trump, who highly praised Ukraine's innovative capabilities in the field of defense.
“Our president raised this issue, and the US president's reaction was very lively: he spent several minutes continuously praising Ukrainian innovation and capabilities and gave positive signals,” the Ambassador said.
During the talks, special attention will be paid to the production of various types of drones that may be of interest to the U.S. government. The Ukrainian Ambassador stressed that discussions on specific types of weapons will depend on the needs of the American side.
Overall, Olga Stefanishyna gave a positive assessment of President Zelenskyy's meeting with Donald Trump, noting that they have “cautiously optimistic expectations.”
"President Trump's public communication regarding the results of this meeting and the preparations for it gives us hope that all of his messages will be implemented. We are already starting to work on this today," she said.
