Ukrainian Canoeists Win Silver at the Olympics
Ukrainian canoeists Liudmyla Luzan and Anastasiia Rybachok won silver in the 500m coxswain's double sculls at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Ukrainian rowers Liudmyla Luzan and Anastasiia Rybachok won a silver medal in the 500m double sculls at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The Ukrainians finished with a time of 1:54.30. Luzan and Rybachok started at a measured pace, covering half the distance in 56.97 seconds, which was the sixth intermediate result. However, in the last 200 metres, the Ukrainian rowers stepped up their game and passed the pairs from Spain, Poland, Hungary and Canada.
The Chinese women confidently won gold, setting an Olympic record of 1:52.81. It should be noted that Xu Shixiao and Sun Mengya are gold medallists of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in this discipline.
Bronze medals went to Canadians Sloan Mackenzie and Katie Vincent. Vincent is also a bronze medallist at Tokyo 2020.
Luzan and Rybachok are the silver medallists of Tokyo 2020 in this discipline. Also at the 2020 Games, Luzan won bronze in the 200m single sculls.
