Wreckage of 3 Russian Attack Drones Found in NATO Country Romania
Romanian Foreign Minister Luminița Odobescu said that the wreckage of Shahed attack drones, which Russia is constantly using to attack Ukraine, was found on the territory of the country.
She wrote about this on the X platform.
‘Russia has carried out even more horrific attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. The wreckage was found on Romanian territory,’ the minister said.
Odobescu added that Romania has informed its allies about the incident and is coordinating its actions with them.
‘Romania strongly condemns these irresponsible actions,’ she stressed.
The day before, Romania scrambled F-16 fighter jets in response to Russia's attack on southern Ukraine using Shaheds. Experts were also sent to check the area around the village of Plauru opposite Izmail, as drone debris could have fallen there.
That night, air alerts were again issued for settlements over the Danube.
The commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, reported that three Russian drones had flown into Romania.
Digi24 reported that the wreckage of the Shahed was found near a Romanian village opposite Ukrainian Izmail.
